Lead Times & Shipping

Because everything is handmade to order, most harnesses ship within 5–10 business days. That window allows time to build, test, and package your kit with the attention it deserves. Some specialty components — like Jupiter Silver Foil capacitors or other premium parts — may occasionally delay shipping by a few days depending on stock levels.

That said, I’m always working to streamline the process and stock more of the most-requested parts. If you’re wondering why your order isn’t out the door the next day, it’s probably because I’m either soldering, on the road, or waiting on a fresh batch of caps to arrive. Not Amazon fast — but it’ll be worth it.

Returns, Refunds & Warranty

We stand behind everything we build — seriously.

Every CLE Guitar Works harness is hand-built, tested, and packed with care. If something’s off, we’ll make it right.

Here’s how returns and refunds work around here 👇

 


 

 

Returns

If your wiring harness hasn’t been soldered or installed, you’re welcome to return it within 30 days of delivery.

No restocking fee. No guilt trip. Just make sure it’s still in the condition you received it.


What Qualifies for Return:

  • Harness is unused and uninstalled — no solder, no clipped wires, no mods.

  • Returned in original packaging with no missing parts.

  • Not a custom order (built-to-spec kits are final sale).

We’ll walk you through the process, confirm condition, and send you return instructions.

Please don’t ship anything back without contacting us first — it won’t be accepted.

 


 

 

🎄 Holiday Extension

Orders placed between December 1, 2025 and January 31, 2026 qualify for an extended 60-day return window under the same conditions above.

 


 

 

Shipping & Costs

  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the item was defective, damaged, or sent in error.

  • If CLE Guitar Works provides a return shipping label, the cost of that label will be deducted from your refund.

  • You may also choose to use your own tracked shipping method.

  • Items returned without pre-approval may be refused.

 

 


 

 

Condition Verification

We inspect all returns.

If a returned item shows signs of installation, solder, or wear, CLE Guitar Works reserves the right to:

  • Refuse the return and ship it back at the buyer’s expense, or

  • Issue a partial refund at our discretion.

 

This ensures fairness for everyone and keeps the quality of our components consistent.

 


 

 

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll send an update by email.

If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 15 business days.


If it’s been more than 15 business days since your refund was approved and you still haven’t seen it, email Info@CLEGuitarWorks.com and we’ll check it out.

 


 

 

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If something doesn’t look right, shows up damaged, or you received the wrong item — let us know within 7 days of delivery.

We’ll make it right quickly, either by replacement or refund.

 


 

 

Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong spec (for example, the wrong capacitor value or pot rating), you can exchange it for another if it’s unused and uninstalled.

You’ll just cover the shipping both ways and any price difference.

 


 

 

🛠️ Warranty

Every harness and circuit we build is covered by our limited lifetime workmanship warranty.

If something fails because of our soldering or faulty components, we’ll fix or replace it — no time limit, no fine print.

What’s covered:

  • Cold solder joints (unlikely, but hey — we’re human)

  • Faulty components that weren’t abused, overheated, or modified

  • Normal-use issues in properly wired guitars

 

What’s not covered:

  • Installation errors (wrong soldering, reversed leads, melted pots)

  • Damage from faulty guitars, wiring shorts, or other equipment

  • Mods or alterations made after delivery

Custom Orders

Custom builds, one-offs, or non-standard harnesses are final sale.

We test every one before shipping, but once it’s customized, it’s yours.

 


 

 

International Orders (Future Plans)

Right now, we only ship within the United States.

We plan to open worldwide shipping soon.

Once that happens, EU orders will include a 14-day cooling-off period for returns of unused, uninstalled items — details will be added here when available.

We’re musicians too, and we know how frustrating bad gear (or bad policies) can be.

We’ll always do our best to treat you the same way we’d want to be treated — fair, honest, and without the corporate nonsense.
